Martin received a BA in Political Science with minors in Pre-Law and Criminology from Eastern Connecticut State University. The training required for his degree helps Martin pay attention to detail and understand the value of knowledge and research. Prior to working with Norcom, Martin consulted at a mortgage company specializing in helping borrowers with lower credit scores and credit challenges. This experience taught him to solve a borrower’s problems by looking at many possible solutions.
Martin’s calm and down-to-earth demeanor, even in potentially stressful situations, allows him to connect with his clients and assess their situation fully. His aim with every borrower is to provide multiple scenarios that fit their affordability goals, equipping them with as much information as possible. Martin is diligent in providing accurate estimates, payment scenarios, and constant updates throughout the process for his borrowers so that there are no surprises at closing. The most important focus for Martin is ensuring that the type of home, area, and program fit each borrowers’ financial capabilities.
